Many complaints have been sent to Jessica Wilson (Consumer NZ Head Of Research) saying that shops have increased the price of essential products by a lot! To be more specific it's now $8 for bread, $14 for cauliflower and $30 for chicken.
Another major increase is the price for face masks and hand sanitizer. No one should be paying $50 or $60 for it. They'll probably end up decreasing the price when the Coronavirus alert level 4 is done and it's safe for people to come out.
Other than that stay inside and be safe! Only let your parents go to the shops at a time.
Hi Kate,
ReplyDeleteYes some of the prices have gone up. I didn't buy the broccoli when it was $6 a head of broccoli. What a shame that the prices have gone up. How are we suppose to afford to eat properly if the prices go up?
