For cybersmart we did a Tip Top poster with Mrs Grant. We learned how to do keyboard shortcuts
so we are faster on our chromebooks.
I am a Year 8 student at Ruapotaka School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 1 and my teacher is Mr Reid.

Talofa Lava my name is Kate...
Talofa Lava my name is Kate, I am a year 5 student and I go to Ruapotaka school. I am 9 years old. My culture is Samoan and I live with 1 brother, 1 cousin and my parents.I am really good at reading and writing. I enjoy art because we created mothers day art and tapa. My challenges this year have been maths tests. My goals are trying to move to Sapphire and learning my times tables. This year I am looking forward to the skip off and the routine. I think my room should get into groups to get ideas from each other. My achievements are moving to ruby reading level. The person who inspires me is my cousin Francis because he helps me to keep dreaming.

Learning With Global
We have created a Image Note with Mrs Grant to show how it will be like with a faster , stronger and better internet . It took us about two Tuesdays to get this finished but I thought it was really fun. My one is for Free Wifi so that if kids have a topic they can search it on their Chromebook.

Keeping It Cool
This is a photo when we did Run,Jump,Throw with couch Declan. The first game we did with couch Declan was shot put. To do it you will need about 7 balls and some cones to know where your standing. To throw a ball in shot put you are only allowed to put your finger tips on the ball but you have to keep your palm clean. We really had fun but the best part about it was having fun.

EXTREME SCREEN
Talaofa Lava this is a photo when Room 9 went to the Manaiakalani Film Festival . We were told that in the Olympics film to never give up on your dream and to always support and care for our Olympians. In the photo there are only 16 people from Room 9 that came to the Film Festival. The film festival was held at Hoyts Sylvia Park. I think the best school that made films was Tamaki College. Best day ever.

The Beautiful Botanic Garden
This photo was taken when we went to the Botanic Gardens. At the garden we did something fun and called ourselves the names of the beautiful flowers we saw. My pretty name was Verbena. It is a purple, pinkish colour. The best part was when I saw the flower I wanted to see, the MAGNOLIA. I learned that Pohutukawa trees are native to New Zealand because they only grow in New Zealand.
